Meet John Kabus

John Kabus, a lifelong farmer & rancher along with his wife Kaye raised 3 children in the Seaman School District.  John & Kaye, like many parents were active in their kid’s school, scouts, 4-H/FFA, church and many other community projects.  John served 25 years in the public sector as a Shawnee County Division Director and high school Agri-Science Teacher.  For the past 6 years, John has been helping property owners in the private sector as a Local North Topeka Insurance Agent.

 John believes in good government and helping people.

 John has an understanding of budgets, mill levies, and the tax burden on homeowners and businesses in Shawnee County.

 John believes that we should be supporting our public infrastructure.

 John believes in improving county government efficiency.

 John believes in promoting effective economic development.

 John supports development of the riverfront area to attract tourism and local businesses.
